From Doubt to Devotion: Margret Jordan’s Journey to Islam

Margret Jordan, a 29-year-old woman from Chibwana Village, was once a respected Christian and a leader among the women in her local church. Known for her dedication and influence, she never imagined that her path would one day lead her to Islam.

When the du‘āt visited her village for dawah sessions, Margret attended every class with genuine curiosity. She listened attentively, asked questions, and began to reflect deeply. In a quiet conversation with one of the du‘āt, she confessed that she already believed Islam was true — yet two lingering doubts held her back.

One was a cultural practice she had grown up with: the tradition of eating after 40 days of someone’s death. The other was a widespread misconception about Muslim funeral practices. The du‘āt addressed both concerns with patience and clarity, explaining Islamic teachings in a way that resonated with her heart.

With those barriers removed, Margret embraced the truth. She took her shahada, returned all the church items she had held onto, and openly declared herself a Muslimah. She described the peace and contentment she felt as unmatched, a feeling she had long searched for.
Margret’s story is a reminder that honest questions, when met with compassion and knowledge, can lead to sincere faith. Alhamdulillah, she now stands as a believer — guided by truth, and anchored in peace
