From Fear of Islam to Embracing Islam

Fyness had always viewed Islam as a difficult religion and believed that becoming a Muslim would be too challenging. One day, while she was going about her day, she met the iERA dawah team who were conducting street dawah in the area. The team introduced themselves as Muslims and explained that they were there to share the message of Islam. During their conversation, Fyness shared her concerns about Islam and why she thought it was difficult.

The Outreach Specialist listened to her concerns and encouraged her to ask questions about anything she did not understand. The team explained the basic teachings of Islam, including that Muslims worship Allah alone and follow His guidance. They also explained the purpose behind the practices Muslims follow, helping Fyness understand them more clearly.

As the conversation continued, Fyness began to see Islam differently. She realized that her previous understanding had been based on what she thought Islam was rather than taking the time to understand its teachings. The explanation opened her mind and encouraged her to learn more about the religion. She became convinced by what she heard and decided that she wanted to become a Muslim.

Fyness then took her Shahadah and embraced Islam. What began as a simple street dawah conversation became a life-changing moment for her. The woman who once thought Islam was too difficult had now chosen to follow it and begin a new journey as a Muslim.
