One day, while engaging in daily da‘wah efforts, a caller met three young men walking toward Lake Victoria to continue their daily activities. Rather than letting them pass by, he decided to stop and engage them, sensing an opportunity to share the message of Islam.
The caller asked them one simple but meaningful question: “Have you ever entered a mosque?” The young men replied hesitantly that they had never been inside a mosque because they were afraid of jinn. This honest response revealed their curiosity and the misconceptions they held about Islam.
Seeing their openness, the caller invited them into the mosque. He encouraged them to look around every part of it and assured them that there was nothing to fear. As they walked through the mosque, they noticed only prayer mats and a peaceful, clean environment.
This calm and welcoming atmosphere began to remove their fears. Through gentle explanation and guidance, the young men were able to understand the beauty and purpose of Islam.
Alhamdulillah, they accepted Islam and recited the Shahada. This story shows the power of using the House of Allah the mosque as a place for da‘wah, where good character and patience can remove false beliefs and illuminate hearts.
