How a 73-Year-Old Coffee Farmer Embraced Islam.

On a serene morning in the lush coffee plantations of Uganda, the iERA Uganda duats crossed paths with Charles, a 73-year-old man deeply rooted in his land and life. As he carefully plucked ripe coffee beans, the duats approached him with warmth and respect, seeking a moment to share a profound message.

“We bring you the truth of Islam and the oneness of God,” they said gently.

Charles, a man who had long grappled with questions about faith, confessed honestly, “I don’t believe in religions because I have never known which one is the right path.”

Listening intently, the duats introduced him to the core of Islam using the GORAP methodology, emphasizing that God created mankind with a purpose: to worship Him alone. They explained that Islam is the divine guide showing how God wants to be worshipped.

They reminded Charles that the same God who breathed life into him will one day meet him on the Day of Judgment. Those who worship Him sincerely will be granted eternal peace in paradise.

These words touched something deep within Charles. After years of searching and uncertainty, clarity blossomed in his heart. With a smile and firm conviction, he accepted Islam, uttering the shahada and embracing a new identity — Mustafa.

From a humble coffee farmer to a devoted believer, Mustafa’s journey is a powerful reminder that it is never too late to find truth and purpose in the oneness of God.
