It was an ordinary day at the Duat program, yet something remarkable took place. During a moment when the class teacher was away, one of the students noticed a cattle herder standing near the classroom. With courage and sincerity, the student stepped outside to approach him, carrying a message he felt compelled to share the message of Islam.
He began by sharing his own journey into the faith, describing how he had embraced Islam and the peace it brought into his life. He explained the beauty of the religion and how simple and welcoming its path truly is. The cattle herder listened attentively, his heart drawn by curiosity and longing for understanding.
The herder expressed a strong desire to learn the teachings of Islam, especially after hearing the students reciting the Qur’an. The unfamiliar language had stirred something within him. At that moment, the class teacher returned and joined the conversation, offering further explanation to clear the herder’s doubts and reassure him.

With fear lifted and clarity gained, the herder’s natural inclination opened. He felt ready to embrace the truth he had just discovered, and with sincerity, he pronounced the Shahada alongside the young student. Peace settled in his heart.
Before parting, he was warmly invited to visit the classroom anytime to continue learning and strengthening his new faith. May the young student be protected and rewarded, and may the new believer be guided upon the straight path until his final breath.
