Chikowi: A Village United in Faith and Generosity

In Chikowi, the Dawah team began outreach in June 2023. Alhamdulillah, many people, including two local chiefs — Chief Lenard and Chief Likhomo — embraced Islam with their families.

The chiefs wished for a proper place to pray, and the community, with support from donors, offered land for a masjid. Work began immediately, and people started performing Jumu’ah and daily prayers even as construction continued.

This project stands as a beautiful example of faith, unity, and generosity, showing how a community can come together to build both spiritual and physical foundations.

The growing attendance and enthusiasm have inspired more residents to learn about Islam, attend classes, and participate in community events. The masjid has become not just a place of worship but a center for education, support, and fellowship, strengthening bonds and nurturing a lasting sense of belonging
