From Bad Habits to Good Character

Happy Makolo, a young man from Thyolo, reverted to Islam four months ago when he met a dawah team from iERA that was doing door-to-door outreach in his village. They visited his home and explained to him the Oneness of Allah. They also invited him to attend the iERA dawah classes that would be conducted in his village. Happy responded that he would attend the classes. The village people were happy to see him attending because he was previously known for doing bad things in the village and was also involved in drinking alcohol.

After attending the classes for almost one month, Happy embraced Islam. He became one of the best students in the class and was always asking questions to increase his understanding of the faith. After his reversion to Islam, the outreach specialists helped him attend an intensive program so that he could continue learning more about Islam and strengthen his knowledge.

After completing the intensive program, Happy returned to his home village. The people in the village were surprised by the changes they saw in him. He was no longer a drinker, and he had become respectful toward elders and helpful to members of the community. His behavior showed the positive impact that Islam had made in his life.

The good character that Happy displayed became an example to other young men in the village. Through his actions and conduct, many people witnessed the positive changes in his life, and this encouraged others to learn more about Islam. His journey continues to inspire those around him and demonstrates the importance of dawah, knowledge, and good character.
