During a door-to-door dawah visit, the Destination Dawah team met Jackson as he was coming back from his garden. They greeted him warmly and explained that they had come to his village to share the message of Islam. Jackson was surprised and asked, “Oh, you are Muslims?” The team confirmed that they were and began explaining the purpose of life—that Allah created us to worship and submit to Him alone. They also explained that Allah is One and sent prophets to guide people and convey His message.
As the conversation continued, Jackson began to understand the purpose of life more clearly. The team discovered that he had already attended iERA dawah classes and was familiar with some of the teachings of Islam, but he had not yet taken his Shahadah. They asked him what was stopping him from becoming Muslim. Jackson explained that there was nothing stopping him; he simply needed some time to think carefully about the decision before taking his Shahadah.

The Destination Dawah team then reminded Jackson that tomorrow is not guaranteed and that none of us knows how long we will live. They explained that our time in this world is limited and that only Allah knows what the future holds. These words made Jackson reflect deeply on his decision. He realized that he had been delaying something that he was already ready to do, and he began to regret waiting when he could take the step that day.
Jackson then told the team that he was ready to become Muslim. With their support, he took his Shahadah and embraced Islam. What began as a simple meeting with the dawah team while he was returning from his garden became a life-changing moment. Jackson was grateful for the opportunity to understand the purpose of life and take his Shahadah, beginning a new journey as a Muslim.
