Alhamdulillah, by the mercy and guidance of Allah, a beautiful journey of faith unfolded—one that began with sincere questions, patient explanations, and a heart that was open to the truth.
This is the story of Mr. Ganizani Namaona, a 32-year-old man from Atomasi 1 Village, who has now, by the will of Allah, embraced Islam and found clarity and peace in his belief.
Ganizani’s path to Islam was not sudden. It developed gradually over time. Due to the demanding nature of his work—burning and selling charcoal—he was often extremely busy and unable to attend da‘wah classes like others in the community. His daily responsibilities kept him away from the class grounds, but Allah, in His wisdom, opened another door for guidance to reach him.
That door came through his wife.
While Ganizani was busy with work, his wife regularly attended the da‘wah classes. Each time she returned home, she would share what she had learned about Islam—the oneness of Allah, the message of the Qur’an, and the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. Ganizani listened attentively as she spoke. Her words sparked curiosity and interest within him, and over time, his heart became increasingly drawn to Islam.
As he continued listening, questions began to form in his mind. He wanted to understand more, especially about issues he had heard differently before. Although he could not attend the classes himself, his desire for clarity continued to grow.
A few days ago, the da‘wah team managed to meet him briefly during a casual visit. Because he was still very busy with work, the discussion was short, but meaningful. Even in that short conversation, his eagerness to learn was evident. Before the team left, Ganizani made a sincere request: he asked them to visit him again at his home so that he could have enough time to sit calmly and ask his questions in detail.
Today, by the will of Allah, that visit finally took place. The team met Ganizani at his home, and the discussion was deep, calm, and sincere. His main concern—and the question that weighed most heavily on his heart—was about Jesus (peace be upon him) and his true position in Islam.
The team explained patiently, using clear evidence from the Qur’an, that Jesus (peace be upon him) is not God, nor the son of God, but a noble messenger sent by Allah. They clarified that Jesus did not perform miracles by his own power; rather, every miracle he performed was by the permission of Allah, as mentioned in the Qur’an:
“…and you healed the blind and the leper by My permission, and when you brought forth the dead by My permission…” (Qur’an 5:110)
This explanation removed the doubts that Ganizani had carried for a long time. The truth became clear to him, and he felt a deep sense of relief and peace. With sincerity and conviction, he accepted Islam and declared himself a Muslim. He also expressed his intention to inform his family about his decision and to live his life according to the teachings of Islam.
Alhamdulillah, Ganizani’s journey is a powerful reminder that guidance does not always come through public gatherings or classrooms alone. Sometimes, it comes through a spouse, through patience, and through a single honest conversation that answers a long-held question.
