Guided by the Oneness of Allah

Alhamdulillah, by the mercy of Allah, a meaningful and heartfelt moment of guidance took place during a calm and sincere discussion about Islam—one that led a young man to embrace the truth after clearly understanding the foundation of faith.

During our visit, we sat together with a group of men, engaging in open and respectful conversation about Islam and belief. Among them was Mr. Smile Goodson, a 25-year-old man from Josen Village, Traditional Authority Kapichi. The discussion was friendly and thoughtful, allowing space to compare Islam with other belief systems and to address questions with clarity and patience.

As the conversation progressed, it naturally settled on the core message of Islam: Tawheed, the absolute Oneness of Allah. We carefully explained the three aspects of Tawheed, taking time to ensure that each one was clearly understood. Special emphasis was placed on Tawheed al-Uloohiyyah—the Oneness of Allah in worship. It was explained that all acts of worship, whether prayer, supplication, or reliance, must be directed to Allah alone, without partners or intermediaries.

Step by step, we clarified the correct way of worship, guided by the footsteps of the Prophets and the revelations sent by Allah. We referred to the Books of Allah, giving particular focus to the Noble Qur’an, the final and preserved revelation. Together, we reflected on the powerful call of Allah to all mankind:

“O mankind, worship your Lord, who created you and those before you, so that you may become righteous.” (Qur’an 2:21)

This verse deeply resonated during the discussion, as it clearly reminded everyone present of the purpose of creation and the responsibility of worshipping Allah alone.

The conversation then moved to Salah (prayer)—its importance, its structure, and its place in the life of a believer. We explained how prayer is performed according to the Qur’an and the Sunnah, highlighting its conditions, its virtues, and the spiritual benefits it brings. We also discussed the serious consequences of neglecting prayer and how abandoning Salah weakens a person’s connection with Allah.

Throughout the discussion, Mr. Smile Goodson listened attentively. He reflected carefully on each point, asking questions and seeking clarity. It was clear that the message was reaching his heart, not through pressure, but through understanding and reasoning.

After all these explanations, Alhamdulillah, Mr. Smile Goodson expressed genuine happiness and satisfaction with what he had learned. With a heart at ease and a mind convinced, he openly declared his acceptance of Islam and chose to become a Muslim.

This moment served as a powerful reminder that when the truth of Islam is presented clearly, patiently, and sincerely, hearts respond naturally. Guidance belongs to Allah alone, but clarity and wisdom are the means through which it reaches people.

We sincerely pray that Allah strengthens Brother Smile Goodson’s iman, grants him steadfastness upon Islam, increases him in beneficial knowledge, and makes him firm upon the straight path throughout his life.
