Staford Eneya was born and raised in a Christian family and faithfully followed the Catholic Church, which was the religion of his parents. He was an active member of the church from childhood and even served as the church chairman in his village. He remained committed to Christianity for many years.
In 2026, a team from the IERA Dawah Team visited his village to conduct Dawah classes. Since Staford lived near the place where the classes were held, he decided to attend. He attended the classes for about three months and learned about the teachings of Islam. As he continued learning, he became convinced that Islam is a religion of peace and accepted Islam.
After becoming a Muslim, Staford realized that Muslims in his village had to travel a long distance to reach the nearest mosque for daily prayers. He decided to donate a portion of his land to help the Muslim community build a mosque in the village so they could have a place to pray close to their homes.
When Staford’s children learned about his decision, they disagreed with their father because they did not want the family land to be donated. An outreach specialist met with the family, explained the importance of the mosque, and helped resolve the disagreement. In the end, his children accepted their father’s decision, and the local Muslim community built a simple grass-thatched mosque on the donated land.
