Mrs. Chitela’s Journey to Islam

Mrs. Chitela comes from the respected family of Mr. Chitela, a family that has long been involved in community service through the Africa Mission. Her husband has been a leader in the mission for over five years, guiding people spiritually and socially, and dedicating himself to teaching and helping others. The family has always valued faith, devotion, and understanding, but Mrs. Chitela had never fully explored the message of Islam—until recently.

The journey began when the outreach team invited people to attend Islamic classes. On 16th February 2026, Mrs. Chitela joined the session, curious but cautious. She openly shared that she had been a Christian for many years and had always practiced her faith sincerely, but she had never truly understood the concept of Allah’s oneness (Tauheed). She had gone through life observing religious teachings but felt something was missing—an understanding of the One God in His pure form.

As the sessions progressed, she listened attentively. The lessons about the oneness of Allah, His mercy, and guidance began to touch her heart deeply. She reflected on her life and realized she longed for a direct connection with Allah, one that was simple, sincere, and free from confusion or misrepresentation. She expressed her desire to embrace Islam but admitted her hesitancy—wanting to be sure that this decision was sincere and fully understood.

Step by step, she began sharing what she learned with her husband and other members of the mission family. Conversations filled their home, and she would often ask questions to clarify her understanding, showing her sincere desire to know Allah better. Her husband, deeply committed to guiding people towards the truth, supported her with wisdom, patience, and encouragement.

Alhamdulillah, the guidance and teachings resonated with Mrs. Chitela’s heart. She started to feel a profound sense of peace and certainty in the message of Islam. Her understanding of Tauheed grew clearer with each discussion, and she began practicing small steps of faith, integrating prayer and reflection into her daily life
