Maki had the opportunity to have a respectful and meaningful conversation with an Outreach Specialist about Jesus and the message of Islam. During their discussion, Maki explained that he believed Jesus was God. The Outreach Specialist listened carefully and then explained the Islamic understanding of Jesus, helping Maki see the subject from a different perspective.
The Outreach Specialist explained that Muslims believe Jesus was a prophet and messenger of Allah. He was sent by Allah to convey His message and call people to worship Allah alone. He also explained that Muslims love and respect Jesus, but they do not worship him. Maki listened attentively and asked questions as he sought to understand the teachings being shared with him.
As the conversation continued, Maki began to understand the message of Islam more clearly. He reflected on what he had previously believed and compared it with what he was hearing about the Oneness of Allah. The explanation opened his heart, and he became convinced that Allah alone deserves to be worshipped.
After understanding the message, Maki decided that he wanted to become a Muslim. He took his Shahadah and embraced Islam. What began as a respectful conversation about Jesus became a life-changing moment for Maki as he started a new journey in Islam.
