During one of of the recent outreach programs in Nigeria, the iERA Nigeria team encountered a young Christian woman who had been living a life of hardship.
She worked as a prostitute, caught in a cycle of fear, drugs, and emotional stress, longing for peace of mind but unable to find it.
She confided in the Duat, expressing how exhausted she was with her current lifestyle.
With tears in her eyes, she shared that she believed Islam was the only path left for her, the only way to find true peace and purpose.
After a deep conversation, she made the life-changing decision to embrace Islam. She offered her shahadah, was given modest clothing, and invited to join our New Muslim Mentorship Program to begin her journey of learning and growth.
One week later, she returned to the Duat, filled with gratitude.
In her own words, she admitted that “I feel so welcomed here,” her face glowing with a newfound sense of peace and hope.
The change in her was already evident, and the team look forward to supporting her on her journey toward a better life.
This story serves as a reminder that even in the darkest moments, Allah opens doors to light.
