A young lad passed by the dawah stall and he paused. We have found this to be the usual pattern with many youngsters. The ambience of the dawah table pulls them to inquire. He began to scan the table trying to find what to read on. Immediately, our da’i took the chance to elucidate the core teachings of Islam in an articulate manner. He listened calmly and carefully. He will respond occasionally indicating he agrees and understand what the da’i was trying to tell him.

After about 25 minutes, he was asked if he wished to take his shahadah. He was about to say yes but then recalled his family and he imagined the possible backlash that may result. Although, they see trying to imitate prayers like the Muslims in his neighborhood and have never cautioned him even once. He still held back his decision to take the shahadah out of concern.
He informed him that this decision must come from the heart and since he still has a year to become 18 years old, he can call us at any time to make his shahadah. He agreed, took our contact information and a few booklets..
