Nurturing tomorrow’s messengers: A glimpse into iERA Uganda’s Du’at training journey

In a quiet corner of Uganda, something extraordinary is unfolding—not in grand stadiums or public squares, but in a modest yet vibrant da’wah training center.

This is where future ambassadors of Islam are being molded—young men and women who will carry the message of Allah into villages, towns, and hearts across the country.

Recently, the iERA Uganda team, alongside Brother Subboor Ahmed, the Global CEO of iERA, conducted a powerful and purposeful visit to this center. The goal wasn’t just to observe—it was to truly engage, assess, and encourage the Du’āt (Islamic outreach trainees) who have committed themselves to this noble mission.

The atmosphere was filled with anticipation as trainees eagerly shared what they had learned so far. From discussions on foundational Islamic knowledge to strategies for effective outreach, the room radiated with energy, clarity, and purpose. This was more than a review—it was a celebration of growth.

One of the most memorable moments came when several trainees recited verses from the Qur’an, their voices steady and beautiful, a reflection of their dedication and the quality of instruction they’ve received. The recitations left a deep impression on the visiting team—proof that knowledge, when pursued with sincerity, blossoms into something deeply inspiring.

In his address, Brother Subboor reminded the students of the immense responsibility they carry. With warmth and wisdom, he urged them to remain steadfast in the face of challenges, to anchor their hearts in the words of Allah, and to never underestimate the impact of sincere da’wah. His message wasn’t just motivational—it was a call to continue striving, knowing that their reward lies not in recognition, but with Allah.

Brother Muhammad, iERA Uganda’s Country Manager, further emphasized the importance of their journey. He explored how the students have progressed not just in recitation or public speaking, but in understanding key elements of Islam—like recognizing the lives and missions of the Prophets. These are not merely academic lessons; they are tools that will help these trainees connect with communities and convey Islam with clarity and compassion.

The training program now nurtures over 30 individuals, each with their own story, their own village, and their own mission. What unites them is a single goal: to spread the truth of Islam with wisdom, sincerity, and love.

This visit reaffirmed a powerful truth—da’wah is not only about speaking; it is about preparing hearts. And iERA Uganda is doing just that—cultivating a generation of Du’āt who are ready to carry the prophetic mission forward.

As these trainees continue their journey, they carry with them not just knowledge, but the prayers and hopes of an Ummah that longs for light in every corner of the world. May Allah grant them success, keep their intentions pure, and make them among those who guide others to the straight path.
