The Power of Dawah; From Witchcraft to Worship

In a small village in Malawi, Mr. Sydney Nsusa was known as a powerful witch doctor. People came from far and wide seeking his so-called magical help. But despite his fame, deep inside, he felt empty—searching for something real.
One day, a team from iERA visited his village as part of their street dawah initiative. They sat with Mr. Nsusa and shared the message of Islam—the oneness of Allah, the mercy of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, and the purpose of life.
As they spoke, something awakened in him. The words of the Qur’an touched his heart. He realized the magic he had practiced was falsehood and deception.

Right there, Mr. Nsusa made a life-changing decision. He took his Shahada—declaring his faith in Allah and His Messenger—and left his life of witchcraft behind.
Since that day, Mr. Nsusa has found peace he never knew before. He prays, studies the Qur’an, and now shares Islam with others. From a feared witch doctor to a devoted Muslim, his transformation is a true sign of the power of dawah.
Why It Matters
There are many more like Mr. Nsusa—searching for truth but waiting for someone to reach them. Your support helps bring that message to them.
Dawah saves lives. It changes hearts. And it brings light where there was once darkness.
