A gardener’s encounter with Islam

The iERA Uganda team had an encounter with a gardener on her way back home from her daily routine of dressing her farm produce.

Teopista, was easily approachable by the team who struck a conversation with her on the nature of God and asked her if she believed in a supreme being.

Teopista, who later became known as Fauzia amongst her Muslim brethren told them she had an object of worship and that they are three gods.

The Duat took the opportunity through the strolling to talk about the concept of God in Islam and explained it to her using the GORAP methodology to breakdown the concept of the most high in a clear manner.

By the time they had reached the entrance to Teopista’s home, she had gotten the clear understanding of Islam.

The Duat then invited her to embrace Islam and with clear conviction in her mind and heart, she declared the testimony of faith and entered the fold of Islam.

Fauza’s story is a testament to the impact of iERA’s mission across the continent of Africa.

Through respectful dialogue and genuine care, the outreach specialists continue to touch hearts and guide individuals towards the path of Islam.

We pray for Allah’s guidance for sister Fauzia and also seek for Allah to make her steadfast in her conviction.
