The three-month intensive du‘at training program by IERA Uganda has successfully come to an end, leaving the trainees filled with pride and hope. Designed to equip new Muslims with ‘ilm (knowledge) and practical skills in Islam, the initiative has already begun to bear fruit, with many trainees positively transforming their communities even before graduation.
Throughout the training period at the Du‘at Centre, participants were taken through comprehensive lessons on Islam, with a strong emphasis on spreading da‘wah compassionately and kindly. The program focused not only on theoretical knowledge but also on practical application, preparing the du‘at to serve as role models and change agents within their communities.
The graduation ceremony was marked by powerful demonstrations of what the trainees had learned during the three months. The du‘at showcased skills such as preparing the deceased for burial, performing Salah al-Janazah, conducting wudhu, and reciting various du‘as. One of the trainees also delivered a khutbah before the guests, a clear sign of their readiness to return to their communities and confidently represent Islam.

In his address, Sheikh Ibrahim, the District Kadhi, appealed to the graduates to uphold high levels of discipline and good character. He reminded them that they are now representatives of Islam in their communities and urged them to practice and “own” what they had learned, as true ambassadors of da‘wah.
The Secretary for Da‘wah, Sheikh Ismael, congratulated the graduates and emphasized the importance of using a wise and gentle approach while spreading the message of Islam. He encouraged them to lead with good manners and understanding when engaging with their communities.
Meanwhile, IERA Uganda’s Operations Officer, Brother Abdulrahman, applauded the trainees for their patience and commitment throughout the three-month program. He encouraged them to put the knowledge they had acquired into practice and to remain mindful of Allah’s rewards as they continue spreading Islam.
At the end of the ceremony, the du‘at were awarded certificates and officially tasked with returning to their respective areas to represent Islam and contribute positively to transforming their communities. With knowledge, skills, and renewed purpose, the graduates now step forward as a new generation of dedicated ambassadors of da‘wah.
