A retired policeman and his wife both embraced Islam after experiencing the Islamic power of healing through ruqya, which is actually a spiritual healing practice.
The man, Albert Ayo actually had provided the Duat a place of shelter when the team arrived in his village to continue the Prophetic Mission of propagating Islam.
The older man had treated the Duat with the best of reception and had attended to their every need prior to the encounter that will define his entire outlook of the Islamic faith.
One day, the team saw that the wife of the man was under a spiritual attack and performed the ruqya for the lady to consume the water which the Qur’an had been recited on.
A short while after she had drunk the water, he became stable and felt better than she had ever felt before in the past.
In that Ayo Albert made the decision to join the faith of Islam alongside his wife for they had seen in it only good and noting beneath that.
Seeking guidance, he approached the Duat, who warmly welcomed him and his wife into the fold of Islam.
Both took the shahada, with Albert adopting the name Ayo Muhammad and his wife embracing the name Amongi Christine Fatima.
