She passed by us while we finished having a conversation with a few people. We observed her slight keen interest and we walked with her as she walked briskly. With some hesitation she stopped to hear us out. We began to invite her to the basics of the Qur’an and al-Islam. We observed her uneasy nature and offered if she would love to pick any of our booklet for her to study on a later day. After which we can talk more. She agreed.
We asked her, “Which booklet will you want to pick?”, with no friction in her voice, “The Qur’an” came as her answer. Allahu Akbar. We were amazed because the reverse is mostly the case. Some start with the pamphlet and then ask for the Qur’an but in the case of his young lady it was a sheer bundle of joy for her to get the Qur’an. She collected the Qur’an and left with a goodbye.
