Allahu Akbar! All praise is due to Allah.
One of the most impactful dawah activities this month took place in Sitio Baag, an Aeta village nestled in the province of Tarlac. A few years ago, the Tarlac Muslim Converts Association (TMCA) had visited the area and, by Allah’s mercy, the entire village embraced Islam. However, due to the lack of consistent follow-up and guidance, some members of the community eventually reverted to other faiths, including Methodism and Baptism.
Alhamdulillah, this year, I was blessed with the opportunity to visit Sitio Baag once again after being invited as a speaker for the Intensive Dawah Training Program. During the visit, we observed not only the immense potential within the community but also the urgent need for continuous Islamic education and support. Recognizing this, TMCA collaborated with us to organize a special outreach dawah activity followed by a comprehensive New Muslim Support Program.

The outreach, held on September 18, 2025, drew an overwhelming response — with around 120 attendees participating. Alhamdulillah, out of these, 98 individuals embraced Islam, expressing sincere eagerness to learn more about their new faith. Through careful coordination and a community risk assessment, we were able to partner with various Islamic organizations, including the Tarlac Muslim Convert Association and the Abdurahman Masjid Dawah Team. Volunteers from the New Muslim Aeta communities in Angeles also joined and provided valuable assistance, ensuring the event’s success.
Understanding that true dawah extends beyond the shahadah, we placed strong emphasis on continuous education and follow-up. With the support of the village chief, Chief Ting, we established a 10-day teaching program designed to strengthen the foundation of the new reverts. The classes are currently ongoing, and the results have been heartening.
Had we not returned to Sitio Baag, many of those who once embraced Islam might have drifted away from the faith. But through Allah’s grace and the renewed commitment of the community, they are now firmly back on the path of Islam — guided, supported, and inspired to grow in their deen.
Alhamdulillah, Sitio Baag stands today as a living reminder that with perseverance, teamwork, and faith, lost connections can be rekindled and hearts can once again find their way back to Allah.
