As-salāmu ʿalaykum! This weekend at Masjid Isa ibn Maryam in Middlesbrough, something truly special took place—a hands-on Dawah training event aimed at equipping individuals to share the beautiful message of Islam with confidence and clarity.
The mosque, known for its active role in Dawah, hosted a series of inspiring sessions. Attendees were first reminded of the importance of Dawah and then guided through practical training on how to engage in conversations about Islam. Participants learned both passive and active ways to initiate discussions, helping them connect meaningfully with people in their communities.

Arshad, one of the attendees, shared his experience: “The speaker was engaging, thorough, and even joked a lot, which kept everyone involved. It was great to see the entire audience participating and learning together.” The training was designed not only to teach skills but also to build confidence, ensuring attendees felt prepared to convey the message of Islam in any situation.
In addition, every participant received a specially prepared Dawah pack, including a copy of the Qur’an and essential materials to share with colleagues, neighbors, and friends. The session was led by Brother Sohail from iERA, with around 100 attendees—brothers on one side and sisters on the other—learning side by side in a spirit of unity and purpose.
This event reflects the mosque’s mission: to empower local communities, spread knowledge, and nurture individuals to become beacons of light in their surroundings. Through training, guidance, and sincere effort, Islam continues to reach hearts and homes, one conversation at a time.
