Berenice, a Mexican hairstylist and mother of two, had been living a life full of challenges. Despite her efforts, she felt a deep emptiness and monotony, as if something important was missing from her life.
One day, she met a Muslim through social media and discovered a TikTok live session by the iERA team in Mexico. Something clicked instantly. She appreciated being able to ask questions freely, and every doubt she had was answered with clarity. The teachings resonated deeply with what she had felt in her heart for a long time.
With her doubts resolved, Berenice realized she had found her path. Confident and certain, she pronounced her shahada, embracing Islam and beginning a new chapter in her life.
Just three months later, her life has been completely transformed. She has found peace, fulfillment, and a sense of belonging. At the Dawah centre in Guadalajara, she discovered a family, supportive friends, and sisters with whom she can learn and grow spiritually.
Today, Berenice is an active iERA volunteer. She attends weekly Qur’an classes, participates in dawah training, and supports street dawah and centre activities. When asked what Islam has brought to her life in one word, she answered simply: Family.
