SubhanAllah, we never know when Allah may open someone’s heart through a single conversation. During a Street Dawah session in Mississauga, two brothers who had been speaking with Christian missionaries in the area became part of a meaningful discussion about Jesus, Islam and the message of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
When one of the Dawah team members approached them, he discovered that the two men had very different backgrounds. One was a Muslim who had embraced Islam only two years earlier, while his friend was Christian. What followed was an open and respectful exchange about faith, the role of Jesus عليه السلام, and the teachings of Islam.
It was particularly encouraging to see how confident and firm the new Muslim was in his faith despite being relatively new to Islam. His clarity and willingness to discuss his beliefs demonstrated how quickly a person can develop conviction when they sincerely seek knowledge and understanding.

His Christian friend, however, was still uncertain and had questions about Islam and Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. The conversation gave the team an opportunity to clarify several misconceptions. By the end of the discussion, he expressed an important point: “I don’t deny Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.” He explained that he believed in God and wanted to finish reading the Qur’an before making any decision. The team encouraged him to continue reading, and Alhamdulillah, they were able to read Surah Al-Fatihah together.
This encounter is a reminder of why Dawah matters. Not every conversation immediately leads to a Shahadah, but a sincere discussion can remove misunderstandings, encourage someone to investigate the Qur’an, and open the door to further reflection. We pray that Allah guides him, opens his heart to the truth, and makes the Qur’an a means of guidance for him.
