Alhamdulillah, the IERA Milton Team conducted an engaging and thought-provoking street dawah session that left a meaningful impression on a young passerby.
During the session, the team engaged in a deep conversation with a young man named Davis, who identified as an atheist. He shared that both his parents were atheists, though some of his extended family were Christians.
The da’wah team approached the discussion with wisdom and reason. They introduced philosophical and cosmological arguments to explore the existence of God. Using a simple analogy, they asked Davis to consider whether something as intricate as an iPhone could come into existence by chance — leading to a broader discussion on intelligent design and purpose in creation.
The conversation then turned to Qur’anic evidence. One of the verses shared was:
“Were they created by nothing, or were they themselves the creators?” (Surah At-Tur 52:35)
They also highlighted scientific facts in the Qur’an, such as the mention of barriers between seas of different salinity — something not known at the time of revelation.

When Davis asked what makes the Qur’an unique and why it is from God, the team explained its unmatched preservation over 1,400 years, its memorization by millions worldwide, and its accurate prophecies — including the Romans’ unexpected victory and the rise of skyscrapers in the desert by Bedouins.
By the end of the discussion, Davis admitted he still did not fully believe, but he expressed a genuine openness to continue exploring. The team encouraged him to read the Qur’an during quiet moments and reflect deeply.
May Allah guide Davis and others like him who are sincerely seeking the truth.
