Alhamdulillah, during a recent street dawah session in Milton, our brothers experienced an inspiring encounter that once again proved how Allah guides hearts in ways we least expect.
While engaging with passersby, they met two sincere young men who paused to listen. When asked if they believed in God, the two responded with an intriguing challenge: “We’ll give you five minutes to convince us on what you believe in.” SubhanAllah, what began as a short exchange turned into a heartfelt 30-minute discussion about faith, purpose, and truth.

One of the young men, dressed in grey, identified himself as a Catholic. His companion, wearing purple, shared that he was a former Catholic who no longer knew what to believe in. The discussion naturally centered on the brother in purple, who asked a profound question that many seekers ponder:
“How do you know Islam is the one truth when there are so many religions?”
With patience and sincerity, the brothers walked him through the GORAP methodology, presenting the rational and spiritual foundations of Islam — the belief in one Creator, the purpose of revelation, and the message of all prophets. The young man listened intently, agreeing with each point.
Still, he wrestled with one final question: “Who created Allah?” The brothers explained that an infinite chain of creators would still require a single, necessary being — the uncaused cause — and that being is Allah, the One who created everything yet was never created. The explanation resonated deeply with him.
By the end of their conversation, the young man expressed his gratitude and said he would go home and read the Qur’an to learn more about Islam. His Catholic friend had already accepted a copy of the Qur’an earlier and encouraged him to do the same. Both of them also received dawah pamphlets to continue exploring the message further.
Alhamdulillah, what began as a five-minute challenge became a meaningful exchange about truth, logic, and divine guidance. May Allah open their hearts fully to Islam and reward our brothers for their patience and dedication in sharing His message
