Vladimir Calderon — 34 — Santiago de Chile, Chile
“Take it step by step,” is the advice from Vladimir Calderon for those approaching the Quran.
Vladimir is Chilean, 34 years old, and lives in the capital of his country, Santiago de Chile. He discovered the Quran while using an app to learn English. There, he met a Muslim with whom, after some time of friendship, he had a conversation about Islam. It was this new friend who recommended reading the Quran.
It has not been an easy path for him. Some people have come into his life and others have left because he chose Islam for his life. “But we must accept what Allah has for us and say Alhamdulillah for everything.”
The Quran changes lives. That’s why he believes it is very important that it is distributed globally. “There are people who do not have access to the Quran because they live far from mosques or there are no mosques in their cities.”
That’s the reason why joining efforts to distribute the Quran is what can make a difference in the sacred book reaching people who have not even heard about the book of Allah.
