It was not a rushed decision

Ng’washi Karwinzi is a mother who had the opportunity to hear about Islam many times in her life. Over time, the outreach did not give up on her; they continued visiting her family and engaging them in conversation. Through these visits, she began to reflect on her position and felt a growing awareness of people who cared for her beyond her own Seventh-day Adventist community.

Eventually, her curiosity grew stronger. She wanted to know what these duʿāt were always bringing and what teachings they were sharing near her home. This curiosity led her to decide to listen more closely, paying careful attention the next time they came around.

When she finally sat down with them, she listened sincerely and without distraction. As she heard the message of Islam, Allah made it easy for her heart to understand and accept what was being conveyed. The words she heard resonated deeply within her, bringing clarity and peace she had not experienced before.

In that moment, she was able to pronounce the Shahada, embracing Islam with sincerity. It was not a rushed decision, but one born from reflection, understanding, and an open heart.

Her acceptance of Islam was guided by her desire to know goodness and truth. She came to appreciate the values of Islam, including mutual respect, kindness, and helping one another. Through this journey, she found a new sense of belonging and spiritual fulfillment.
