A Remarkable Dawah Journey – Paraguay 🇵🇾
Alhamdulillah, the iERA Paraguay team visited a native community in the Caaguazú area, where residents work together to cultivate the land, produce crops such as beans and cassava, and sell traditional indigenous handicrafts to support their livelihoods.
Due to the community’s unique customs and beliefs, access is generally restricted to outsiders, regardless of their religious background. However, with the support of a local volunteer who was well known and trusted by the residents, the team was granted permission to enter and share the message of Islam.
Recognising the community’s language and literacy needs, the team adapted its approach. Since the residents spoke their own native language and could not read Spanish, printed materials and pamphlets were not suitable. Instead, the du‘at focused on direct, personal conversations, sharing the message of Islam face to face.

Over the course of just two days, 11 people embraced Islam and pronounced the shahadah! Allahu Akbar!
But the impact did not end there. As the team prepared to leave, the residents expressed their desire for the du‘at to return so they could continue learning about Islam. They also expressed an interest in donating a plot of land for the establishment of a musallah, providing a dedicated place for the community to gather and worship Allah.
This visit marks an encouraging beginning for dawah in the community, with the possibility of establishing a lasting presence and supporting the new Muslims on their journey.
May Allah accept the efforts of the Paraguay team, keep the new Muslims firm upon Islam, and make the proposed musallah a source of knowledge, worship, and guidance for generations to come. Ameen!
