There was joy and celebration among the new Muslims when a generous donor, Brother Bevan Abdulraheem, visited their classes and promised to provide veils for the sisters and caps for the brothers.
During his visit, the new Muslims had the opportunity to show the guest what they had learnt since embracing Islam. With the guidance and encouragement of the iERA du’āt, they confidently read out lessons about their new faith, shared what they had understood, and demonstrated the progress they were making in worship and character including wudhu.
Brother Bevan was deeply impressed by their enthusiasm, humility, and commitment. Seeing their eagerness to learn and practise Islam, he promised the ladies veils and the men caps as a gesture of support and encouragement.
Among the beneficiaries was Brother Abdul-Aziz Kato, a chapati maker who had embraced Islam after the du’āt engaged him patiently and explained to him the beauty and goodness of believing in One God. His journey, however, was not without challenges. At one point, the village imam chased him away from the mosque because of his hair.
This discouraging experience was resolved when the du’āt intervened. They explained to the imam that new Muslims should be welcomed, taught, and encouraged when they come to the mosque—not turned away. The mosque should be a place of guidance, patience, and brotherhood, especially for those who are beginning their journey in Islam.

When Abdul-Aziz received his cap, he was very happy. He promised that he would wear it whenever he went out, as a sign of his identity and gratitude to Allah for guiding him to Islam.
The veils were later delivered and distributed by the district head. Before distributing them, he advised the beneficiaries to make good use of the veils and to remain committed to attending salah regularly, reminding them that prayer is one of the pillars of Islam.
The new Muslim beneficiaries were overjoyed and sincerely thanked the organisation and the donor for the kind initiative. They pledged to continue learning, practising their faith, and attending the new Muslim classes, while praying for more support to help them grow stronger in their new life in Islam.
