Ibrahim grew up in a Christian family but his father practised witchcraft. When he eventually decided to stop the practice, he suddenly fell ill with a strange disease that doctors were not able to treat.
The family sought the help of the church, and even though many pastors went by the house to pray for Ibrahim’s old man, it was all in vain. His condition remained the same.
Eventually, some of the local Muslim teachers, (Ustadhs) started visiting the family and praying for the father and by the grace of Allah, as days went by, his condition began to improve! This miracle not only brought a lot of joy to the family but also made them interested in the religion of Islam.
The more they learned about the worship and etiquette of Islam, the more they loved the religion. It wasn’t long until his parents both accepted Islam, and Ibrahim followed suit and immediately began attending Islamic studies.
As of today, Abdulatwifu Ibrahim is part of the iERA’s New Muslim Imam Program and continues to study the religion.
