Tereza Stenala has spent most of the better part of her life in Eastern Europe, adopting their way of life and becoming acclimatized with their religion as well
She grew up loving Christianity and seeing the religion as her only way to salvation until she had an encounter with Islam which changed her paradigm in her way she had never seen.
In her own words, she admitted that “I realised that Islam is not just a religion but is also a way of life. It covers man’s daily life, and I can have a good life by following Islam”.
Tereza, although she loved the religion of Islam, she had a lot of questions and skepticisms that had gone on for a long time until she had an encounter with the iERA Malawi who took out time to answer all the questions and dispersed all doubts she carried in her heart along the way all those years.
The Duat had visited her village and after having an interaction with her, had invited Tereza to attend each session of the New Muslim classes, absorbing as much knowledge as she could and asking the Duat all of her burning questions. And with every answer she received, her faith in Islam grew stronger.
After much contemplation and soul-searching, Tereza made the life-changing decision to revert to Islam. The warmth and inclusivity of the Muslim community embraced her, and she felt like she had finally found her place in the world.
She was inspired by the teachings of Islam, which preached kindness, compassion, and love for all of humanity.
