There are moments that remind us of the beauty and power of dawah—and today was filled with them at the Hayes Muslim Centre Open Day. The event kicked off in the most heartwarming way imaginable: a Shahaadah was declared! MashaAllah TabarakAllah! What better way to begin than with someone embracing Islam?
From the very first hour, the mosque was buzzing with activity. Smiles, conversations, laughter, and curiosity filled the air as both Muslims and non-Muslims walked through the doors to learn, connect, and experience the welcoming spirit of Islam. Alhamdulillah, the team was ready and full of energy, engaging with everyone who came in, answering questions, and creating a warm, friendly space where all were welcome.

We stationed enthusiastic volunteers along the high street, inviting passers-by to come and explore the mosque. Their welcoming smiles and open hearts drew people in—some hesitant at first, others curious, and many simply intrigued. And once they stepped inside, they were greeted not just with hospitality, but with delicious food, vibrant conversations, and thoughtfully prepared gift bags to take home.
It was a day of sincere dialogue, shared stories, and planting seeds of understanding. Events like these remind us just how important it is to create bridges in our communities—and how rewarding it can be when we do.
