Breaking Barriers: How iERA Du’ats Brought Islam to a New Muslim at Home.

At iERA Uganda, dawah knows no limits — no distance is too great, no obstacle too challenging. This dedication shines through in the story of Mzee Gilbert, a 75-year-old new Muslim who, despite his physical inability to attend Islamic classes, has blossomed in his faith thanks to the relentless efforts of iERA Uganda’s outreach specialists.

After embracing Islam and adopting the name Musa, Mzee Gilbert faced a significant challenge: his health made it impossible for him to travel to the New Muslim Support classes where he could deepen his understanding of the faith.

Undeterred, the outreach team devised a creative and compassionate plan. They traveled the long distance to his home, bringing knowledge, mentorship, and support directly to Musa’s doorstep.

Through this personalized and patient approach, the outreach specialists have not only nurtured Musa’s spiritual growth but have also demonstrated how perseverance and commitment in dawah can transform lives—even in the face of physical barriers.

Musa’s journey is a testament to the power of compassion and the fruit of unwavering dedication in spreading the message of Islam, lighting up entire communities one heart at a time.
