Alhamdulillah, the New Zealand team continued its efforts to share the message of Islam and support the Muslim community through a wide range of activities. Over the week, Islam was shared with 120 people, while two individuals took the Shahadah and began their journey as new Muslims.
The team also held five Islam 101 classes, providing opportunities for people to learn about the foundations of Islam in a welcoming and structured environment. Alongside this, four new Muslims received support, with one receiving dedicated mentorship to help strengthen their understanding and practice of Islam.
Dawah development remained an important focus, with a Dawah Training session and a Public Speaking session helping participants build the knowledge and confidence needed to convey the message of Islam effectively. The team also held two stakeholder meetings, strengthening relationships and supporting continued collaboration for Dawah work across New Zealand.
A special highlight of the week was hosting Shaykh Abu Bakr Zoud at MIYC, where around 300 people gathered for a talk on Tawheed and the Oneness of Allah. The event provided an important opportunity for the community to come together, learn, and strengthen their understanding of one of the fundamental principles of Islam.
MashaAllah, the week reflected a balanced approach to Dawah: reaching people with the message of Islam, supporting new Muslims, developing Dawah skills, engaging stakeholders, and strengthening the wider Muslim community.
