Kindness is the Key to Effective Dawah.

Uganda — As a new month dawns, bringing with it renewed energy for the Prophetic mission, iERA has intensified its efforts to equip its team for the noble task ahead. iERA Uganda organized a pivotal three-day Outreach Specialists Induction, a strategic gathering designed to sharpen the skills of Duats and enhance the nurturing of New Muslims across the region.

Held in one of iERA’s active operational districts, the induction served as a reminder that the work of Dawah is not just about conveying a message, but about embodying the character of the Prophet (peace be upon him).

Brother Arshad, the iERA Regional Manager for Uganda and Rwanda used the platform to empower the attendees, reminding them that the foundation of effective Dawah lies in one simple, yet profound trait: Kindness.

“Kindness is the key to effective Dawah,” Br. Arshad emphasized. “It opens hearts before words reach the mind.”

Beyond character, Br. Arshad stressed the importance of “Smartness” urging Duats to be mindful of their presentation and approach. He highlighted that a Duat is an ambassador of Islam; therefore, how they carry themselves and how they approach the public plays a massive role in how the message is received.

The induction also addressed the operational realities on the ground. Brother Abdurahman, the iERA Uganda Operations Officer, urged the outreach specialists to maintain open lines of communication. He encouraged Duats to fearlessly report all challenges they encounter to their district heads, ensuring that no obstacle hinders the mission.

Meanwhile, Brother Akram, the iERA Education Officer, shifted the focus to the intellectual integrity of the Duats. He issued a passionate appeal for continuous learning, warning that stagnation is dangerous in this field.

“You must continue to learn Islam and gain deep knowledge of what you are transmitting,” Br. Akram advised. “It damages the trust of New Muslims if they discover that you do not possess the knowledge you are expected to have. To nurture them, you must first nurture your own understanding.”

The session was also a time for reflection and calibration. District heads from various regions utilized the induction to highlight specific areas of improvement, analyzing past performances to better the future mission.

iERA is ensuring its specialists are ready to not only spread the message but to effectively nurture those who embrace it.
