Jonathan from Phalombe met the iERA dawah team while they were conducting street dawah in his area. He saw the team speaking with people and became curious about what they were doing. After the Outreach Specialist finished speaking with some people, Jonathan approached the team and asked what they were doing. They explained that they were Muslims who had come to teach people about Islam, especially those who did not know much about the religion.
The Outreach Specialist began a conversation with Jonathan and explained the purpose of life according to Islam. He explained that Allah created us to worship Him alone and that we should not associate anyone or anything with Him. Jonathan listened carefully as the team shared the message and answered his questions.

Jonathan then opened up about his previous view of Islam. He said, “At first, I was seeing Islam in the wrong way, but now I can say Islam is a good religion.” His understanding had changed after hearing the teachings directly from Muslims rather than relying on his previous impressions.
Jonathan then asked the Outreach Specialist how he could become a Muslim. The Outreach Specialist explained that he could embrace Islam by taking the Shahadah and submitting to the will of Allah. Jonathan was ready to take that step, and he took his Shahadah, beginning his new journey as a Muslim.
