What began as a simple conversation about the oneness of God turned into a life-changing journey that led Byakatonda Moses to embrace Islam and adopt the name Musa, thanks to the efforts of the iERA du‘at.
During an encounter with the iERA du‘at, Moses expressed his curiosity about Islam and asked them to explain the religion to him. The du‘at warmly welcomed his question and began explaining the message of Islam, emphasizing the oneness of Allah and how Muslims worship the same God preached by all the prophets.
As the conversation progressed, Moses asked a fundamental question: *“Then, which is the true religion?”*
In response, the du‘at explained the Islamic belief that Allah is One, He neither begets nor was He begotten, and that worship belongs to Him alone. They also clarified the Islamic understanding of Prophet Jesus (Isa), explaining that he is a revered messenger of Allah rather than God Himself.

Moses then shared that he had previously converted to the Born Again faith, where he had come to believe that Jesus was God. The du‘at patiently addressed his understanding, providing further explanations about the Islamic perspective on Jesus and the central principle of Tawheed — the absolute oneness of Allah.
Although the discussion opened his eyes to new understanding, Moses wanted to learn more before making his decision. He therefore promised to attend the new Muslim classes organized by the du‘at.
True to his word, Moses attended the class the following day and listened attentively to the teachings. For an entire week, he continued participating in the lessons, seeking a deeper understanding of Islam and its teachings.
As his knowledge and conviction grew, Moses eventually reached out to the du‘at with a heartfelt request: he wanted to be guided in taking the Shahada, the Islamic declaration of faith.
The du‘at guided him through the declaration, and Byakatonda Moses embraced Islam, taking the name **Musa** and beginning a new chapter in his spiritual journey.
His conversion brought joy not only to the iERA du‘at but also to the Muslims who had already been living in the village. The local Muslims expressed their appreciation to the du‘at for visiting their community, sharing the message of Islam, and creating an opportunity for their neighbour to learn about the faith.
Musa’s journey is a powerful reminder of the impact of sincere conversations, patient teaching, and consistent follow-up in Dawah. What started with a question about the true religion led to a week of learning and ultimately to a personal decision to embrace Islam.
Alhamdulillah Another heart has been introduced to the message of Tawheed, and another new Muslim has begun the journey of learning and practising Islam.
May Allah strengthen Musa in his faith, grant him beneficial knowledge, and reward the iERA du‘at for their continued efforts in sharing the message of Islam.
