The What’s Your Goal? World Cup Dawah Campaign began in Toronto with an inspiring day of learning, reflection, and outreach, bringing together the local Muslim community to share the message of Islam during one of the world’s biggest sporting events.
The program opened at the Toronto Islamic Centre with Jumu’ah, where the congregation benefited from a powerful khutbah reminding Muslims of the importance of dawah and the responsibility of inviting others to Allah with sincerity and wisdom.
The khutbah emphasized that the strength of the Ummah is not measured by wealth, status, or numbers, but by its willingness to care for humanity and call people towards what is good. Drawing lessons from the life of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, the reminder highlighted his mercy, patience, and unwavering commitment to conveying Allah’s message with compassion, even to those who rejected him.

Following the Jumu’ah prayer, participants attended a dawah session before heading into Downtown Toronto for street outreach. Volunteers engaged members of the public with a simple yet thought-provoking question: “What’s your goal?”
What began as conversations inspired by the World Cup soon developed into meaningful discussions about purpose, faith, success, and our relationship with our Creator. Through sincere dialogue and compassionate engagement, volunteers were able to share the beauty of Islam with people from diverse backgrounds.
The launch of the campaign marked a promising beginning, demonstrating how everyday conversations can become opportunities to inspire reflection and invite others to learn about Islam. May Allah accept the efforts of everyone involved, bless this campaign with continued success, and guide many more hearts to the truth. Ameen.
