During a door-to-door dawah visit, the Outreach Specialist met Brother Gift at his home. After greeting each other, Gift told the Outreach Specialist that he had seen the dawah team visiting homes in the village for several days and was curious about what they were doing. The Outreach Specialist explained that they were Muslims who had come to share the message of Islam with people, especially those who had misconceptions about the religion, and to help them understand what Muslims truly believe.
The Outreach Specialist continued by explaining the basic teachings of Islam. He explained that Muslims believe Allah is One and that He sent prophets to guide people and convey His message. He also explained that Jesus, whom many people believe to be God, is a prophet and messenger of Allah, and that Prophet Muhammad was the final prophet sent by Allah. Gift listened carefully as the Outreach Specialist shared these teachings and explained the importance of worshipping Allah alone.
As the conversation continued, Gift began to understand Islam in a way he had never experienced before. He was surprised by the explanations and how clearly the team presented the message. Gift shared that, throughout his life, he had never had such a conversation with a Muslim before. Hearing these teachings directly helped him reconsider what he knew about Islam and gave him a new understanding of the religion.
After reflecting on the conversation, Gift told the Outreach Specialist that he was ready to become a Muslim. The Outreach Specialist guided him, and Gift took his Shahadah, embracing Islam.
