Radjabu is a young man under the age of 25. He works in a small shop in Bujumbura. He is originally from Makamba, a province on the border with Tanzania. He often travelled to Kigoma, a town in Tanzania closest to his village, seeking the job. It was there that he met some Muslims whose behaviour inspired him to become a Muslim. He chose the name Radjabu. He says, ‘Muslims are good people, they are willing to help each other in times of need, even at weddings, unlike non-Muslims…’

Radjabu is learning to be a good Muslim, even though he still has a long way to go. He cannot show his Islam for fear of reprisals from his new employer, but he never fails to greet Muslims with a friendly and amused smile
