Chisomo Likaka, a young man from Neno, was once a Christian. After attending iERA dawah classes, he learned about Islam and became interested in the way Muslims pray and worship Allah. As he continued studying, he understood the teachings of Islam better and eventually decided to embrace Islam.
When Chisomo informed his parents about his decision, they strongly opposed it. They told him that he could not remain in their house if he chose to be a Muslim, and they chased him away. Chisomo then returned to the outreach specialist and explained how his parents had reacted to his conversion.
The outreach specialist advised Chisomo to return home and calmly share the positive things he had learned about Islam. However, when he went back, his parents still refused to accept his decision and chased him away again. Chisomo stayed with the outreach specialist, who later accompanied him to visit his parents and explain more about Islam.

Although his parents did not immediately change their minds, their attitude gradually softened. After two weeks, they accepted Chisomo’s decision to become a Muslim and allowed him to practice his faith. They even supported him by sending him to attend a New Muslim Intensive program so that he could continue learning and growing in Islam.
