Pemphero White, a young lady from Phalombe, reverted to Islam two months ago. The reason that made her revert to Islam was when the IERA Dawah Team visited her village to conduct Dawah classes. She was taking part in these classes and attended for almost two weeks, but she wasn’t ready to become a Muslim. She was debating with the outreach specialist that Jesus is God and not a prophet.
The outreach specialist explained to her that Jesus was sent by God to spread the message of Allah, not to worship Jesus as God. He gave her verses from the Qur’an that Allah is One and should be worshipped. This made her interested, as the explanation was fading her wrong beliefs that Jesus is God.
She then decided to revert to Islam and took her Shahadah. But when her family heard that she had embraced Islam, the family opposed her and said bad things to her, saying that Islam is a bad religion and that it is a religion of evil and that Muslims are evil people.
In this way, their opposition did not make her change her choice. Instead, it made her stronger in her decision and strengthened her commitment as a Muslim.
