Violate Kalinga, has embraced Islam after being raised in a Christian for the better part of her life.
She was a Seventh Day Adventist Preacher who stood on the pulpit sharing the gospel of Christianity with an audience comprising of both men and women.
Prior to her encounter with Islam, she also served as the leader of the Youth team in her church.
According to her, Islam is a religion that gave her peace and solace, abstract blessings she never found in her previous faith.
In her own words, she admitted that, “when I learned that in Islam, women do not stand and preach in front of men, it made sense to me’.
Violate also added that ‘I felt uncomfortable standing and preaching in front of men while not properly dressed. The teachings of Islam seemed to align with my beliefs, so I made the decision to accept Islam.’
In the face of misconceptions and false portrayals of Islam, Violate offers words of advice to those who may be swayed by negative opinions.
‘Many of the negative things said about Islam are simply misunderstandings,’ she explains.
‘Islam is the true religion of God, and I have found peace and purpose in my decision to embrace it.’
