Chief Kalambika, an elderly man from Lilongwe, grew up following the CCAP Church, the faith of his parents. Throughout his life, he had never learned about Islam or understood its teachings. He continued practicing Christianity for many years without knowing much about what Islam teaches.
One day, the IERA Dawah Team visited his home to ask for permission to conduct Dawah classes in his village. Chief Kalambika welcomed the team and gave them permission to conduct the classes. He also decided to attend the lessons himself so that he could learn more about Islam and understand what Muslims believe.

As he continued attending the classes, Chief Kalambika began to realize that some of his previous beliefs about Jesus were different from what Islam teaches. He learned that Muslims believe Jesus was a messenger of God who came to deliver God’s message and guide people, not God Himself. This new understanding made him reflect deeply on the beliefs he had followed throughout his life.
After learning more about Islam, Chief Kalambika realized that some of what he had believed before was wrong. He then decided to embrace Islam and sincerely took his Shahadah, choosing to follow the teachings of islam.
