Jonathan Tembo, a 50-year-old man from Thyolo District, was once strongly opposed to the dawah activities taking place in his community. As an active and respected member of his church, he had a strong influence on those around him. He often discouraged people from attending the iERA dawah classes because he believed the message of Islam was not something they should follow.
Because of his opposition, the outreach team decided to visit him at his home and speak with him personally. When they arrived, they introduced themselves and explained that they had come peacefully to share the message of Islam. They spoke with Jonathan about the purpose of life, the oneness of Allah, and the message brought by the prophets. Jonathan listened carefully and was given the opportunity to ask questions and share his concerns.
As the conversation continued, Jonathan became increasingly interested in what he was hearing. He started asking sincere questions and wanted to understand the teachings of Islam more deeply. The outreach specialists answered his questions patiently and explained the message of Islam in a simple and respectful way. Gradually, Jonathan began to reconsider his previous understanding and opened his heart to the message.
Jonathan eventually became convinced by what he had learned and decided to accept Islam. He expressed his desire to become a Muslim, and with great happiness, he took his Shahadah.
