In Nampinga Village, under Traditional Authority Kaduya in Phalombe District, a powerful story of faith, courage, and sincere conviction unfolded—one that continues to inspire many who hear it.
Esnart Beston is a young woman, 20 years old and married, whose journey back to Islam is a testimony to the power of truth when it reaches a sincere heart. Before embracing Islam, Esnart was a member of the Catholic Church, a faith she inherited from her family. Her parents remain in that religion, and for many years she followed what she was taught without deeply questioning the foundation of belief.
Everything changed on 06 February 2026, during Day One of a da‘wah program held in her village. As people gathered on the ground for the class, Outreach Specialists (OSs) delivered a powerful message about the Oneness of Allah (Tawheed) and the serious danger of Shirk—associating partners with God. The message was clear, direct, and deeply moving.
As the lesson unfolded, Esnart listened with full attention. The explanations touched her heart and answered questions she had never been able to resolve before. The message was supported by the words of Allah from the Qur’an, especially Surah Aal-Imran (3:85), where Allah says:
“And whoever desires a religion other than Islam, it will never be accepted from him, and in the Hereafter he will be among the losers.”
These words struck her deeply. She realized that true success lies in submitting to Allah alone and worshipping Him without partners. The clarity of Islam, the logic of monotheism, and the seriousness of accountability in the Hereafter removed all doubt from her heart.
In a moment that surprised everyone present, Esnart stood up alone in front of the gathering and openly declared her desire to embrace Islam. Without hesitation or fear, she took the Shahadah, entering Islam with confidence and sincerity. Many in attendance were astonished by her bravery, especially seeing a young woman take such a bold step publicly.
From that day onward, Esnart’s life changed profoundly. She embraced Islam with pride and peace, finding joy in true faith. Today, she is a confident and committed Muslimah, openly practicing her religion and wearing Islamic dress as a sign of obedience and submission to the will of Allah. Her appearance reflects her inner conviction, and she carries her faith with dignity and confidence.
However, her journey has not been without trials. After becoming Muslim, her parents strongly opposed her decision. They questioned her choice, expressing anger and disappointment, saying words meant to discourage and shame her. Despite this emotional challenge, Esnart remained firm. She calmly responded that obeying the Creator and believing in Him is the true covenant of every human being.
Her words reflected the meaning of Allah’s statement in Surah Al-A‘raf (7:172):
“And when your Lord brought forth from the children of Adam—from their backs—their descendants and made them testify concerning themselves, ‘Am I not your Lord?’ They said, ‘Yes, we have testified.’”
Esnart’s story is a reminder that guidance often comes with sacrifice, but those who hold firmly to the truth are never alone. Her courage, patience, and unwavering faith make her a strong example for other new Muslims, especially young women facing similar challenges.
We pray that Allah forgives Sister Esnart Beston, blesses her and her family, strengthens her iman, grants her patience and steadfastness, and keeps her firm upon Islam until her last breath.
