Breaking Generations of Darkness

For many years, the village of Kahama had not held Islamic classes. Many villagers still believed in spirits, and this long standing tradition had caused the absence of learning. Over generations, people had remained in deep darkness, some prayers were neglected, and religious practice was inconsistent.

When IERA Dawah outreach arrived in Kahama and found the mosque closed for a long time, their efforts to revive Islamic knowledge began. Among those who were not yet Muslims, some embraced Islam, and the Dawah workers also started outdoor classes to reach a wider audience. These sessions welcomed both Muslims and non Muslims with the aim of learning the teachings of Islam.

Today, this village is beginning to experience the positive impact of these classes. Efforts continue to attract more attendees so that everyone can learn about their faith through understanding the Qur’an and Sunnah.

An inspiring development is the enthusiasm of new students, who encourage their peers to enter Islam and study together. This collective learning allows them to perform correct worship and abandon the old practices of spirit worship.

Through these classes, the village is gradually receiving the light of Allah. Knowledge is spreading, faith is growing, and a new generation is emerging, guided by the principles of Islam and the understanding of true worship.
