Jalia is a Muslim sister who recently converted to Islam. She had worked with Muslims for a long time and was drawn to their kindness. She wanted to become a Muslim but did not know how to go about it. Most of her family members who remained in her home village are Christian, and she was afraid of their reaction if they found out about her conversion.
Too perplexed, she couldn’t bring herself to do it until she met a Muslim man who proposed to her. It seemed like an opportunity she couldn’t miss, a chance she had been waiting for to fulfil her dream of becoming a Muslim with a man who understood and supported her.
When our duats team visited her at her usual place of work, she was so happy to share her story with them. Jalia lives peacefully with her husband and strives to improve her Islam day by day.
